Research postgraduate students

Application is invited for enrollment into a PhD program at the Human Nutrition Laboratory (HNL) under the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship (HKPF) scheme.

Candidates should possess a first class honours Bachelor degree from a reputable university (e.g. a top 100 university) to be considered competitive for entry. Prior research experience with peer-reviewed publications are considered favorably.

Preference will be given to students majoring in food and/or nutritional sciences. Special consideration of non-food/nutrition students may be given for students with a high GPA. Students without a first-class honours Bachelor degree are not considered competitive for the HKPF. Note that grades obtained during the Master degree are not considered for HKPF selection.

Volunteers/Interns

We are delighted to host BSc students for a summer research internship experience. This could be counted as a Capstone course BIOL4962 for HKU students majoring in food and nutritional sciences. You will have hands-on experience with some of the most interesting research projects related to human nutrition and public health.
