Dr. Massumi is a Professor of Structural and Earthquake Engineering at Kharazmi University. He has been a visiting researcher at the University of Ottawa (Canada) in 2003, and a visiting scholar at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2013. His research activities mainly deal with structural and earthquake engineering including seismic behavior of RC structures, damage detection and assessment, seismic soil-structure interaction, progressive collapse, and retrofitting.
