Ahmad Ozair is a physician-researcher from India, whose work has been cited by the World Health Organization and the World Economic Forum. He is one of 14 Sommer Scholars worldwide at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (>100,000 USD of scholarship). He is also a Clarendon Scholar, a scholarship awarded to the top 1% of graduate students at the University of Oxford. He was previously a postdoctoral research fellow in neuro-oncology at the Miami Cancer Institute. Ahmad's research focuses on surgical outcomes, medical education, and neurological diseases. His works span over 80 papers, with 1500+ citations and an h-index of 15, with first-authored works in Neurology, Journal of Neurosurgery, and the Cochrane Database. He has also been involved in several international multi-centric studies as a co-investigator, such as EUROBACT, SYNAPSE-ICU, GNOS, COVIDSurg-Week, COVIDPaedsCancer, and GNS-1. Ahmad serves as an editorial board member for the Asian Spine Journal and BMC Surgery. He also serves on the clinical practice guidelines committee of the North American Spine Society. He has served in the development of joint guidelines of Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) and Americas Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (AHPBA). He also serves on the Trainee and Early Career Advisory Group (TECAG) of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the workforce workgroup of the inaugural Maryland Commission on Public Health.
