I have more than 10 years of cutting‑edge research and teaching experience in prestigious institutes including the University of Derby (UK), Qatar University (Qatar), and COMSATS University (Pakistan). I have authored (and co‑authored) more than 30 research papers, including reputable international Transactions/Journals and Conferences. I have been honored with 2 best paper awards. I have taught courses at the Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) levels during my career. As a lecturer at the University of Derby, I have been actively involved in various aspects of teaching and ad‑
ministration. I have designed assessments and course content to ensure that students receive a comprehensive education that meets their needs and aligns with the course objectives. I have successfully supervised more than 50 undergraduate and postgraduate projects. Currently, I am supervising 1 PhD students at UoD, UK. I regularly organize workshops for several IEEE conferences. The Data Science Research Centre (DSRC) at the University's STEM Centre is equipped with high-performance computing facilities and a state-of-the-art Data Visualisation Laboratory. It aims to lead in research, development, teaching, and training at both regional and national levels. The DSRC focuses on developing novel algorithms, platforms, and tools for comprehensive data analysis, collaborating with industrial partners for impactful applications. Comprising four interconnected clusters, it collaborates closely with industry sectors such as rail, manufacturing, biomedical, and the environment. The DSRC actively communicates the value of data science, builds strong industry relationships, conducts impactful research, and champions high-quality education and training programs.

- At the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, I teach a range of modules including Programming Fundamentals, Network Fundamentals, Hardware/Software Co‑design, Securing Networks, Risk and Vulnerability Assessment, Multimedia Security, Advances in Wireless Networks, Network Routing and Switching, Wide Area Networks, and Server Infrastructure. By imparting my knowledge and expertise in these subjects, I have aimed to equip my students with the necessary skills and understanding to thrive in computer science/Cybersecurity. I received an overall student satisfaction score of 4.5/5
- I contribute to curriculum development and supervise BSc, MSc, and Ph.D. projects to shape their research interests to help them develop theskills they need to succeed. I write research proposals to prestigious funding bodies such as Innovate UK, EPSRC, and NCSC. I engage in research collaborations with both local and international partners on a variety of funded projects aimed at producing high‑quality research output that meets the standards required for the Research Excellence Framework (REF).
- Derby College Group Program Leader: In my role, I am responsible for performing various administrative duties to support the smooth running of our collaborative partnerships and affiliated college programs. This includes scheduling regular meetings with our collaborative partners to ensure effective communication and collaboration, sharing updated course content and assessment information, completing internal assessment moderation, and attending pre‑board meetings to review the quality of our affiliated college programs.
