The Data Science Research Centre (DSRC) at the University's STEM Centre is equipped with high-performance computing facilities and a state-of-the-art Data Visualisation Laboratory. It aims to lead in research, development, teaching, and training at both regional and national levels. The DSRC focuses on developing novel algorithms, platforms, and tools for comprehensive data analysis, collaborating with industrial partners for impactful applications. Comprising four interconnected clusters, it collaborates closely with industry sectors such as rail, manufacturing, biomedical, and the environment. The DSRC actively communicates the value of data science, builds strong industry relationships, conducts impactful research, and champions high-quality education and training programs.
