Currently working as a Assistant Librarian (Temp) at Dr.G.Ramachandran Library, The Gandhigram Rural Institute- Deemed to be University, Gandhigram. A.Muthuraj has completed BA from Hajee Karutha Rowthar Howdia College, MLIS from Madurai Kamaraj University, M.Phil from Bharathidasan University, and pursuing Ph.D from Bharathidasan University. He has completed COSSAL (Certificate Course on Open Source Applications in Libraries) course from Edusys/ Bharathidasan University. He has also cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) from University Grants Commission and cleared State Level Eligibility Test (SET) from Mother Teresa Women's University. He has published 20 research articles in national and international journals. He has presented and published 13 International and 37 National Conference papers and attended 5 Short Term Courses and 38 Workshops and seminars. He has contributed 8 chapters in edited books. He has specialized in the areas of Open Source Software’s, Profile Management System, Library Automation, Scientometrics, Digital Libraries and Information and Communication Technology. He was a life member of various professional bodies like SALIS, and ALA.
