I am an academic with multinational research and leadership experience. After my PhD, I have worked in Sweden, USA and India. I am actively involved in entrepreneurship. I was one of the founders and the first CEO of C-CAMP which is arguably one of Indias largest Biotech incubator. Other than my role as a Professor, I am also currently Director of the Bindley Bioscience Center at Purdue. A new initiative of mine at Purdue is a discovery to innovation program. I am interested in science, how science is practiced, the economics of science, and the relationship between technology development and scientific progress. My largest research grant today are from Industry. I have a very people friendly management style and believe that success of its people is the best measure of the success of an organization.
