I have completed my Ph.D. from the Institute of Environment and Sustainable Development (IESD), Banaras Hindu University, India, in 2019 and my M.Sc. in Botany from the University of Allahabad, India, in 2010. My research interests include solid waste management, organic waste recycling, compost science, plant stress physiology, emerging contaminants, and sustainability science. During my doctoral research, I put innovative ideas and tried to develop an economically cheaper and sustainable method of solid waste management and performed vermicomposting of municipal solid waste (MSW) as a circular economy-based management approach. Also, I assessed the impact of MSW vermicompost on soil health and plant growth responses. During my postdoctoral research at IIT Gandhinagar, I worked on UNICEF funded project entitled “Weekly Surveillance of Wastewater for SARS-CoV-2 Gene Detection in Ahmedabad for Pandemic Curve Monitoring”.
