About

I am an IR researcher focusing on the MENA region, a policy analyst, and a multilingual published author, based in Washington DC. I earned my PhD in comparative politics from American University (Washington D.C.) in 2010 with a focus on the MENA region, Foreign Affairs, and Education.

Currently, I am working in Inter-Cultural Competence and Linguistics for Yorktown in DC and my previous job was with CIRID (Independent Center for Research and Dialogue Initiatives), a UN ECOSOC Geneva based NGO, as a regional analyst and political researcher and Communications Director, focusing on issues related to CSR, Education, Media and I have drafted reports and lectured on Diversity and Inclusion as well as on issues of anti-corruption, countering violent extremism, Holocaust in the Arab World and Managing the Macky Sall Award for Dialogue and Peace, under the direct supervision of the host, H.E. the President of Senegal. I have also worked at the Defense Critical Language and Culture Center at the University of Montana in Missoula, MT, as Assistant Professor, and Program Director (MENA Studies-French), providing cultural and linguistic training for our Special Forces. I have also worked as a political researcher/Media analyst as well as a translator at the embassy of Qatar in Washington D.C. I have been an intercultural expert with the US Navy, Air force, and Marines and I was a Visiting Assistant Professor of Middle Eastern Politics and Global Politics at George Mason University and American University. I have also taught at the Defense Language Institute for a year and I worked there also as a Spanish tester and curriculum developer. I also spent several years working as a journalist for Voice of America in Washington D.C., and as a Program Director for Middle Eastern Studies at the prestigious Middlebury Institute of International Studies, Monterey (CA). I have significant experience in leading teams and managing staff as well as working overseas and I love international travel.

I am fluent in Arabic, French, English, Spanish and conversant in Italian. I am the author of Four books and several articles (See CV) and I am a team player and a fast learner. I hold a certificate in Diplomacy Protocol from the famous Protocol school in Washington D.C.
