Disna Ratnasekera is the chair professor of Department of Agricultural Biology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka. She obtained PhD from China Agricultural University, Beijing, China (2004-2007) in Stress Plant Physiology. She was an Endeavour Research Fellow attached to Department of Crop Heatlth, University of Sourthern Queensland, Australia (20014), Borlaug Resaerch Fellow attached to AgCenter, Lousiana State University, USA (2017) and Fulbright Professional Resaerch Fellow attached to Department of Botany and Plant Science, University of California, Riverside, USA. Her Resaerch interest and currently working on Stress tolerance of field crops, Evolution and Spaciation of wild relatives of Rice, Evolution of Weedy Rice in Sri Lanka; Gene Introgression and De - Domestication and Concervation of Biodiversity.
