Anjorin, A. AbdulAzeez (PhD, MSc, Medical Microbiology- Virology) is a promising young Scientist with problem-solving skills and passion for novel discovery and research excellence. He is a Faculty member, Virology and Immunology Lecturer at the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Science, Lagos State University.
Dr. Anjorin, AA has won both local and international Scholarships. He was a Guest speaker at the Lagos University Medical Society 2019 Scientific Conference on Emerging and Re-emerging Infections. In 2018, he was invited to the Centenary World Influenza Conference 2018 in Beijing, China. He received the Lagos State University Vice-Chancellor Commendation in 2017. AbdulAzeez was awarded the 6th European Scientific Working group on Influenza (ESWI) Young Scientist grant to Riga, Latvia in 2017. The Institute of Immunology, Centre de Recherche Public (CRP) de la Santé / Laboratoire National de Santé (now Luxembourg Institute of Health), Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in 2014 invited and awarded him training fellowship for deserving Scientists from a developing country, where he was trained on Molecular Virology of Influenza virus; attended the 17th SAAR-LOR-LUX Workshop on Virology Research at The University of Lorraine, France, and visited the University of Trier, Germany. He was a Federal Government of Nigeria TETFUND PhD Scholar, 2014; University of Lagos Muslim Alumni PhD Scholar, 2013; He won the Master of Science (M.Sc.) Scholarship awarded by Lagos State Government, 2010 and the Lagos State Scholarship Awards (2007, 2006, 2005, 2000 and 1999); Otunba Fola Ogunnowo Memorial Trust Award Imota (2006) and the Buba Marwa Scholarship Grant in Nigeria (2004/05).
