Fotios Pasiouras is Full Professor at Montpellier Business School (France) as well as Full Professor (leave of absence: 01.09.2018 - 31.08.2021) at the Technical University of Crete (Greece). He has held faculty positions at U.K. universities (Bath, Surrey, Portsmouth) and he has been a Visiting Research Fellow/Scholar at European & U.S. universities. He has served as Co-Coordinator of the EURO Working Group on Efficiency & Productivity Analysis (European Operational Research Society), and Co-Director of the Centre for Money, Banking and Institutions (University of Surrey). He is Visiting Professor at the University of Portsmouth (Faculty of Business & Law), Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Financial Engineering and Banking Society, one of the Editors-in-Chief of the International Journal of Banking, Accounting and Finance, Subject Editor of the Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money, Subject Editor of the Emerging Markets Review. His biography has appeared in the “Marquis Who’s Who in the World”, while his research has received awards from the University of Bath School of Management (2008), Coventry University (2005), and Emerald Publishing (2008, 2009). His name has appeared in various SSRN and IDEAS/RePEc lists, consistently ranking him in the top 1.5% authors worldwide in social sciences (SSRN), Top 4% Authors in Economics -based on research publication over the last 10 years (IDEAS/RePEc), “Top Young Economists” (IDEAS/RePEc), etc. His research focuses on risk, performance, corporate governance and regulations in the financial industry. It has appeared in more than 70 papers published in well-known international journals including: Management Science; Journal of Money, Credit & Banking; Journal of Banking & Finance; European Journal of Operational Research; Journal of Business Ethics; Journal of Financial Stability, etc. According to Scopus his work has received around 2000 citations (excluding self-citations of all authors) and has an h-index of 20. Google Scholar gives over 7000 citations to his work and an h-index of 38.
