Dr. Wong Hung is an Associate Professor of the Department of Social Work, Associate Director of CUHK Institute of Health Equity, and the Director of Yunus Social Business Centre at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Dr. Wong got his Bachelor degree at the Department of Social Work of CUHK, He was granted MA and PhD in Sociology by the University of Warwick. His research interests include labour, social security and poverty issues. He has conducted research on marginal workers, unemployed youth and residents in old urban area. In recent years, he has actively advocated for Community Economic Development and the setting up of a universal pension scheme in Hong Kong. He is the Vice-Chair of Oxfam Hong Kong. He was an a Co-op member of the Social Security and Retirement Protection Task Force of the Commission on Poverty.
