Environmental genomics is a topic of our interest; at this particular moment we want to understand how the gut's microbiota and the corresponding microbiome of Mexican humans, respond to changes in their external environment through diet, in association to a healthy condition and phenotypes such as diabetes, and obesity among other diseases due to defective inflammatory conditions in the individual.
