Associate Professor Ts. Dr. Nik Noriman Zulkepli, Advanced Polymer Research Group (APRG), Centre of Excellence Geopolymer and Green Technology (CEGeoGTech) , Faculty of Engineering Technology, Universiti Malaysia Perlis - MALAYSIA

Dr Nik Noriman Zulkepli received his PhD in polymer engineering from Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2011. After completion of his degree under IPTA Academic Training Scheme (SLAI) scholarship he joined as Senior Lecturer in the Polymer Engineering Division, School of Materials Engineering, Universiti Malaysia Perlis. He repositioned to Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology, Faculty of Engineering Technology and served as Deputy Dean (Research & Development), Deputy Dean (Student Affairs & Alumni) and Acting Dean from 2014-2018 while maintaining as principle researcher for APRG under CEGeoGTech. Dr Nik is leading the R&D in diverse research areas of polymer science, rubber technology, advanced materials and natural fiber reinforced/filled polymer composites from structure-properties-process-optimization relationship in processed polymer. He has published more than 250 refereed articles in journals, conference proceedings including books, chapter in book and supervised more than 35 postgraduate’s students including post-doctoral. On research prominence he obtained several IPs patent application including US and European patent, exhibited and won awards in numerous international research products exhibition such as ITEX, MTE, BIO-MALAYSIA, PENCIPTA, KIDE (Kaohsiung), IWIS (Warsaw), INOVA (Croatia), IEI (Kunshan), iENA (Nuremberg), EURO INVENT (Romania), ITECI (Thailand) and ARCHIMEDES (Moscow). He currently served as Associated Professor at faculty, academic external examiners and panel assessors (MQA, ETAC BEM), editorial board in several ISI Journals, member and appointed advisor in several professional and community association and also principle materials consultant for some industries.
