Prof. YANG received PhD degree in microbiology from UC, Riverside in 2005. He joined Oak Ridge National Lab as a Research Associate in 2007, and then moved to National Renewable Energy Lab as a staff Scientist in 2011. He joined Hubei University as a professor of Microbiology since 2016, and his research interest focuses on metabolic engineering, synthetic biology, and renewable bioproducts. He has published more than 50 papers in prestigious journals including Nature Biotechnology and PNAS with an H-index of 25. He also serves the scientific community as an editor of international journals such as PLoS ONE, Frontiers in Microbiology, Frontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology.
