Teresa A. Oliveira is Associated Professor with Habilitation in Mathematics-Statistics at the Open University (UAb) in Lisbon, Portugal, and Chaired the Department of Sciences and Technology (2018-2020). She is integrated member of CEAUL- the Center of Statistics and Applications of the University of Lisbon – where she obtained Master degree (1994) and doctoral degree (2000) both in Statistics and Operations Research. Her research interests include Experimental Design, Statistical Quality Control, Risk Analysis and Risk Assessment, Statistical Modelling, Computational Statistics, Stochastic Analysis and Stochastic Models, Data Analysis and e- Learning Methodologies focusing Mathematical and Statistical tools, fostering for applications on Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences and Education Sciences.

     She is the Chair of ISI-CRA, International Statistical Institute - Committee on Risk Analysis for the 3^rd mandate and she is member of the ISI Working Group on Data Science.

     She supervised 3 PhD thesis and more than 40 MSc dissertations and is author, co-author and co-editor of several national and international papers and books with peer-review. Last book edition, 2018, is the volume “entitled “Recent Studies on Risk Analysis and Statistical Modeling”, by “Springer Series Contributions to Statistics”, jointly Kitsos, C.P., Oliveira, A., Grilo, L..

     She participated in the Scientific and Organizing Committees of several conferences around the world, not only on Statistics and related areas, but on E-Learning Mathematics, Operations Research, Entrepreneurship and others. Co-organizer of several International Workshops on E-Learning Mathematics, on Statistics, Mathematics and Computation WSMC (11th Edition – July 2017), as well as Portuguese-Polish Workshops on Biometry (5th Edition May 2016), she co-organized International Conferences on Risk Analysis, in Portugal - ICRA5, in Spain  - ICRA6 and RISK2015, in Chicago USA – ICRA7, ICRA 8 in Vienna, Austria and in Brazil - Manaus (2014) and Campina Grande ANSRA2 (2015). She is member of the Organizing Committee of ICNAAM for several years, including 2021.

     She is Associate Editor of the Journal of Applied Statistics -JAS, Taylor&Francis (2016 - ) and Honorary Editor of the Biometrics and Biostatistics International Journal, MedCrave Group (2018- ). She is member of the Editorial Boards of the following Journals:
