I work in the field of social psychology, clinical psychology, and neuropsychology. I have a master's degree (2000) and a doctorate (2006) with honors (summa cum laude) from the University of Pau, at the Academy in Bordeaux, France. Since 2009 I work as a lecturer in the Department of Psychology at the University of Plovdiv ‘Paisii Hilendarski’. In 2015 I completed my habilitation in Social Psychology.
My research activities include over 60 publications, some of which referenced and indexed.
I'm the author of the monographs Diagnosis of Burnout Syndrome in Educational Specialists - Strategies for Managing Chronic Stress in the Workplace (2019) Communication and Space Knowledge (2013) and Reading Comprehension - Information and Communication Technologies for Social Inclusion of People with Autism (2013, 2016).
I published three textbooks for undergraduate and Ph.D. students: Social Psychology (2018), Social Psychology of Communication (2014), and Presentation and Self-Presentation (2014).
Associate Professor Youri Ianakiev (Bulgarian: Юрий Янакиев) works in the field of social psychology, clinical psychology, and neuropsychology. Since 2009 he has worked as a lecturer in the Department of Psychology at the University of Plovdiv ‘Paisii Hilendarski’. In 2015 he completed his habilitation in Social Psychology.
Assoc. Prof. Ianakiev is the director of the Master's Programs in Management Psychology and Positive Psychology at the University of Plovdiv. Since 2011 he has held the position of Director of the University Volunteer Center, which organizes and conducts internships for students from the country and abroad. He was vice-dean (2015-2019) and scientific secretary (2012-2015) of the Faculty of Education. In the period 2011-2019, he was the 'Erasmus +' faculty coordinator. He is a guest lecturer at several universities in Spain, France, and Poland.
